The Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees rivalry is set to start back up on Tuesday as the heated foes are set to match-up at Fenway Park. Early on in the season, the Red Sox hold the best record in Major League Baseball at 7-1, while the Yankees are 5-4 after their win over the Baltimore Orioles today.

Last year, both teams went to the playoffs and sports two of the best records in the American League. After the Yankees traded for Giancarlo Stanton and the Red Sox signed JD Martinez over the offseason, both teams entered the season with high expectations.

After last year's matchups, which included some exhilarating games, you can assume both teams want to start the year in the right fashion by winning next week's series.

The Red Sox have start off the season by whooping up on some Florida teams who will dwell at the bottom of both the American and National Leagues, the Miami Marlins and the Tampa Bay Rays. Chris Sale, who's scheduled to start on Tuesday to open up the series, has pitched twice thus far this season and has yet to give up more than one earned run.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Yankees have faced two American East opponents, the Toronto Blue Jays and the Baltimore Orioles. Luis Severino should start for the Yankees on Tuesday, even through first year manager Aaron Boone has yet to lock in who is actually starting. Severino has pitched twice thus far this season and has only giving up six hits in 13 innings.

If both aces go on Tuesday, we could be scheduled for an early season preview of the two best teams in the American League, excluding the Houston Astros. Last year, the Yankees beat the Red Sox 11 times on their way to winning the season series.

Tune in on Tuesday at 7:10 PM to watch one of the best rivalries in sports resume.
